In its most basic form, the Online Bike Coach training methodology only involves five pieces of equipment (besides yourself, of course):
- Your Bike
- A Resistance Unit (usually a stationary trainer, although there are other options)
- A Training Protocol (we use the PerfPro and Xert protocols) and Plan (these are available in our Let’s get started section)
- Data Collection & Visualization device(s), usually a power meter plus head unit and/or “smart” trainer plus computer, tablet or other device
- Accessories like cables, Bluetooth, ANT or other items to integrate your equipment
