Low Intensity With the Xert Adaptive Training Advisor 9-28-2020

Here is a screenshot of my Xert Adaptive Training Advisor recommendations for Monday.
Xert Adaptive Training Advisor
Xert Adaptive Training Advisor recommendations for Monday, September 28th, 2020.
I am definitely tired from the weekend, but I know that the Adaptive Training Advisor is telling me to go slow and steady, and just ride for points. My deficit for the day is just 38 XSS points. The workout goal is 69 XSS points. FOCUS is super low.

Xert ATA and Extra Points

Xert Adaptive Training Advisor Rainbow Dial Xert ATA and Extra Points.
Xert Adaptive Training Advisor recommends 114 XSS, but my deficit is just 35 points. I'm going to ride easy and play around on my mountain bike for an hour.
Here's the workout recommendation from the Xert ATA. It shows that I have an XSS deficit of 35 points. It's recommending 114 points for the day.

Xert XSS and Focus for Saturday

Saturday's Big Ride, per the Xert Adaptive Training Advisor, recommended 121 XSS, and a FOCUS of 20:30. Here's what I posted this morning:
Today's XSS and FOCUS Goals
Recommendations for Saturday's Ride for XSS Volume and FOCUS
Now, you'll notice on LINE 1, that my OVERALL XSS deficit is just 134 XSS. If you look at the one sentence in paragraph 2 of the image, it says that my Training Status is FRESH, and I should consider an endurance ride of 121 XSS.

I’m Back

Technology, Application, Attention, Success

Hey everyone—

Richard Wharton
In my new home.

After roughly three years where I lived two person’s lifetimes, lost a business, lost a home, almost lost a second marriage, got out of debt, and moved from Dallas, TX to Reno, NV, and spent a year here just…riding and living, it was time to start sharing and discussing the topics about which I am so passionate. Now I’m back, and I’m reinvigorated about cycling, coaching, technology, and your success.

Training Smart is Kind of Cliche, But We Have SO MUCH GOOD INFORMATION AVAILABLE, ON BIKE AND ON SCREEN!

I’m going to post to this blog regularly, and I’m going to try to make each post something teachable or interesting.

We’ll discuss fitness, technology, speculation, opinion, and fun – all of it around cycling and improvement. Blog topics may be road-based, and some themes will be mountain bike-based. Some discussions will be about the technology that I have on hand, and how I use it for myself. Some of the discussions will show ways that you can use it for your own benefit.

I’m Determined to Show AND Tell

I’ll also try to include some video clips. One of the reasons I went so bankrupt with my studios was because I really tried to employ as much technology as possible to study my fitness and your fitness, and then find ways to improve.

Now that I live in an area where the cycling is just…. spectacular, I think you’ll enjoy seeing how much the study of things really helps. You’ll also see how some of it really doesn’t help at all.

I’m also going to write about my wife’s journey. She’s younger, stronger, and smarter than I am on a lot of this stuff, and she employs the technology as well.

It’s also important to get an idea of how women respond to this technology, and she certainly has her own opinions.

I’m Now 50. This is my 28th Year of Cycling.

Let’s start with a six-week journey, which actually started yesterday. It’s about my Journey to 300 Watts of Functional Threshold Power.

I’m ready to write. Let’s go!

Sunset in Reno
